Regeneration of industrial buildings to create stylish and flexible workspaces
The development in Wembley lies adjacent to the Grand Union Canal and close to the A406 North Circular road. The project involves the conversion of a disused warehouse into convenient and modern new spaces that will attract and appeal to small businesses.
PJCE has worked with the client to provide structural designs that ensure the most efficient use of existing structures, including a solution for new mezzanine levels which re-use the existing ground floor slab as a foundation. The existing roof lights were also incorporated into the design, creating a light-filled atrium from which the individual business units are accessed.
The Ealing site utilises the Brentham Old Power Station and internally the space will retain an industrial look and feel.
