The Cube is a ground-breaking structure and, of it's time, one of the tallest hybrid CLT developments in Europe. Designed to a complex geometry, the floors step and rotate around a central reinforced concrete core, ensuring maximum privacy for each apartment.

CROSS-LAMINATED TIMBER FEATURES
IN THE CRUCIFORM DESIGN OF THIS
Stability of the building is provided by a central reinforced concrete core, supported off a raft foundation, with concrete flat slabs at the lowest levels and the timber frame bolting into the core above level one.
Located adjacent to Wenlock Basin, the building has a single storey basement, formed with secant piles and a concrete lining wall extending beyond the original retaining wall of the waterway, to maximise the basement area.
