The site of the new class block required the removal of a number of mature trees.

The ground single storey building was a timber frame prefabricated structure supported off reinforced concrete ground beams spanning between deep mass concrete foundations. Cordex Cellcore was incorporated to the sides and soffit of the ground beams to accommodate the potential ground heave. The ground floor was a suspended beam and block slab.
