We have extensive experience in structural design. Our project portfolio ranges from the refurbishment of existing buildings to the construction of new high-rise apartment structures. We seek the right solution for every project using a palette of construction systems including load-bearing masonry, reinforced concrete frames, steelwork with composite slabs, timber, pre-cast concrete and modular systems.
PJCE offers bespoke civil engineering solutions that meet the practical, technical and regulatory needs of our clients. We support our clients in all aspects of civil engineering; the design and detailing of below-ground drainage systems, including sustainable drainage systems (SuDS), pavement engineering, facilitation of highways agreements and planning support.
Building Information Modelling (BIM)
PJCE use AutoDesk software to model our structures and drainage systems in three dimensions. We use collaboration software to share models with other members of the design team to resolve spatial coordination and we produce well-presented construction documentation.
Basement Impact Assessments
PJCE has completed many Structural Methodology Statements and Basement Impact Assessments using guidelines for the various planning authorities in the London region.
With the growing importance of sustainability in the built environment, PJCE incorporates this critical principle into every design we create. We routinely use digital modelling to ensure we find the best solutions to complex problems, identify errors, simplify the construction process and thus reduce wastage and costs.
Our civil engineering team specialise in Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS), developing solutions that mitigate the risks associated with rainwater run-off and flooding.
We have extensive experience in modular construction, with the inherent advantages this can bring. Off-site manufacture, whether precast concrete, cross-laminated timber, or steel container modules, requires less energy, reduces the quantity of deliveries and minimises waste.
Several of our projects have attained BREEAM certification for which we have contributed through development of our drainage systems and material specifications.
