This project comprised the redevelopment of a disused site adjacent to High Street in central Harlesden.
The redevelopment included the construction of a single storey basement below a new three storey hotel.
The basement structure was designed as reinforced concrete structure comprising a mixture of cantilevered retaining walls and underpins along the boundary perimeter. The foundations consisted of a suitably designed raft slab.
The superstructure levels were constructed using a steel framed modular pod construction, allowing for fast installation and significant reductions in construction programme.
The modular structures were pre-fabricated off site and installed in a stacked system, with transfer of building loads through the main load bearing elements.
