Designs for luxury Thames-side living

The proximity of the flood retention wall to this proposed development had to be taken into account both in terms of design and construction. The foundations used steel sheet pile perimeter walls with load bearing internal reinforced concrete piles. Sheet piles were designed to be installed using a silent vibrationless piling rig, to minimise any potential damage to the flood retention wall.

The superstructure was designed using flat slabs with a lightweight steel-framed penthouse above.

Basement parking was managed through a heavy transfer beam at ground floor level, maximising space and delivering a two level car park.

Coordination and interaction with the Environment Agency and Port of London Authority was managed by PJCE to gain agreement for these works.
