Marymount International School in Kingston-upon-Thames have appointed PJCE to provide structural engineering services for the new Performing Arts Centre to be located within the school grounds as part of the master plan for development of the site .

Working closely with Norr Architects, PJCE have developed a sustainable and cost effective scheme that maximises the existing site levels and delivers an outstanding and simplistic design for an auditorium, foyer and attached Teaching block.

A raft slab has been adopted to minimise foundation extent and intricate but modular steel framing provides the structure for the building.

Working with a theatre consultant PJCE have developed simple but effective solutions to deliver the clients aspirations.

Sustainable drainage and advice on Eco roof systems have been provided by PJCE.

We are very proud of our involvement with Marymount and our design reflects our intention to challenge and innovate.
