This redevelopment consists of a seven storey commercial building based in the Clerkenwell Green Conservation Area. The proposed scheme will comprise of retail area to the ground floor, office space from first to sixth floors, and a biodiverse roof and terrace to the seventh floor.
The development requires demolition of the existing three storey warehouse building, and the new superstructure will be supported on a number of piles to form the foundation. The superstructure is designed as a steel framed building with braced bays to provide stability. Transfer beams have been designed at first floor to provide adequate space for vehicular loading at ground floor, and an exposed concrete soffit has also been designed for, in order to meet the Client’s requirements.
