The Tallest Timber Building in Europe!

At ten superstructure levels, this residential Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) building is to be the tallest in Europe.  The overall form steps and rotates up the building to create a complex and dynamic geometry. Stability of the building is provided by a central reinforced concrete core, supported off a foundation raft with concrete flat slabs at the lowest levels and the timber frame bolting into the core above level one.

Located adjacent to Wenlock Basin, the building has a single storey basement formed with secant piles and a concrete lining wall which extends beyond the original retaining wall of the waterway to gain as much basement area as possible.
