Location: New Bond Street, London
The development of new basement structure beneath the existing Lower Ground floor - and directly over the proposed Cross Rail Tunnel - included contiguous pile walls and extensive temporary propping.
The existing super structure was supported on a grillage of steel framing and jacked to shed loads to the temporary struture. The existing columns were then removed enabling the basement excavation to proceed.
